3 cups cooked pasta (I have used angel hair, penne, bowtie...)
1 lb. sausage (you could also use ground beef or ground turkey)
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1/2 teas. garlic salt
3 cups spaghetti sauce
8 oz. cream cheese
3/4 cup milk
2/3 cup sour cream
1 green bell pepper, chopped (optional)
1 cup grated parmesan cheese, divided into 1/2 & 1/2 cups
Brown the sausage, onion and garlic until no longer pink; drain. Add spaghetti sauce and garlic salt; simmer for 10 minutes. Combine cream cheese and milk in microwave safe container and cook on high 1-2 minutes stirring once. Stir with whisk until well blended. Stir in the sour cream, green pepper, and 1/2 cup parmesan cheese. Mix cream cheese mixture with cooked pasta and place in bottom of greased 9 x 13 pan. Top with sausage and spaghetti sauce mixture and the remaining 1/2 cup parmesan cheese. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 5-10 minutes til bubbly.
Serve with garlic bread or breadsticks!
