Alfredo Sauce -- The best ever! (Just like Olive Garden!)

2 cups heavy cream
1 stick butter
pepper to taste
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
garlic powder to taste

Mix all ingredients and cook over low heat till the desired consistency. Serve over pasta.

A lot of our recipes or knowledge of cooking comes from our mom/grandma, Erma Parcell, so we've dedicated this blog of our favorite recipes to her. We came up with the name "Cuttin' The Cheese" because Erma used to come up with some really wild and funny comments, even though she had no clue she was being funny. One night during a family get together she was telling us that "whenever I cut the cheese Lexie comes running." (Lexie was her little dachshund that loved cheddar cheese.) As we all roared with laughter, Andrea managed to get her to say it again and egged her on even more, but she never did get why we were all laughing.

I loved this quote, but it wasn't from my mom, it was from Kerby after spending some time visiting her and trying to have a conversation with her. It says it all about her: "I tried to think of something to talk about that wasn't controversial, but I couldn't think of anything."

Thanks to the family for any comments/misquotes they can think of. These used to drive us all crazy, but now they seem kind of endearing.
